Protected Areas in India

Today everybody believes that every soul, human and animal should live in harmony. Many people are willing to go that extra mile to save the wildlife. But however hard we might try, it is nearly impossible for wildlife to thrive around ever increasing human settlement. After all animals are not designed by the nature to live in cities. They need their own space, habitat and environment to continue their natural lifestyle.

As the human settlement kept growing and human free jungles started shrinking, the idea of protected ideas took off. A protected are is basically a protected jungle that is allowed to grow in its own fashion without human interference. The wildlife thrives in such areas. If we visit any such place, chances are we will be able to see amazing wildlife.

But where are such places in India? All we have usually heard about is Geer, Kanha, Kaziranga or Tadoba. But is that really all? Are those the only protected areas in India? Fortunately no. There are a lot more protected areas for wildlife throughout India.

Just one thing, whenever you visit such a place, make sure you don’t leave your traces behind in any form, especially plastic. Protected area is the animal’s city or home. Go there like a guest and behave like an ideal guest.
